Every year in February, Rio De Janeiro comes to life for Carnival. With outlandish parades showing off extraordinary floats full of dancers in fabulous costumes; street parties where the samba drum never stops and fancy dress balls of the greatest extravagance - the fiesta doesn't let up. Dragoman offers a fantastic Rio Carnival package for 6 nights. We offer the whole package so you get the full Rio experience: tickets to the Sambadrome, a guided half-day tour up Corcovado and another to the Sugar Loaf Mountain, and a sunset tour out on the waters of Guanabarra Bay. Plus we have a fabulous team of Dragoman crew who will help you get the most out of the Carnival experience.

Itinerary:

• Day 1: Meet your fellow travellers at the welcome meeting and the Dragoman Carnival crew who will look after you during your stay at Rio Carnival
  
  

• Day 2: Half day guided tour of Corcovado

Optional: Watch a football match at the legendary Maracana Stadium

• Day 3: Ticket to the Sambadrome Parade. Party all night to the fantastic sounds and sights of the Samba schools parade
  
  

• Day 4: Check out the local parades and soak up the Brazilian Carnival atmosphere

Optional: Visit Community Project Morrinho - a model favela Optional: Return to the Sambadrome for a closer view of the parade* Optional: Join in with the Samba Parade

• Day 5: Half day guided tour of Sugar Loaf Mountain Free time to chill out on the beach

Optional: Dress up and go to the Gay Ball, the most colourful of all the balls

• Day 6: Sunset Boat Cruise on Guanabarra Bay

Optional: Take an Historical Samba Tour to learn about the origins of Samba Dancing

• Day 7: By train to Bruges (guided tour/free time) then return to Ghent
